4-H Clover Bowl

On April 12th the County-Wide 4-H Clover Bowl was held here at Maury Middle School.  The Clover Bowl is an event that is similar to the Scholar's Bowl competition, except that the questions are all about 4-H, Tennessee (History, Geography, and Government), Agriculture, Life Skills, Science, and US Government. Our Maury Middle School team members have spent many mornings practicing in Mrs. Johnson's room in preparation for the competition.

Our 6th grade team members were Hunter Boyer, Mollie Johnson, Jenilee Worley, and Noah Taylor-McGaha and they were defeated by only a 5 point margin by Rush Strong School.

The 7th grade team members are Allie Boatman, Colton Byrd, Michael Johnson, and Emma Mulligan. Our 7th grade team won by default since they were the only 7th grade team in the competition. 😊

Maury's 8th grade team members are Jacob Allum, Maggie Johnson, and Cole Perry. They won over Rush Strong's 4 member team by several points.

Both the 7th and 8th grade teams advance to regionals at UT on May 16th. The 8th grade team hopes to add a member for regionals.

Congratulations to our 4-H Clover Bowl Participants!
