Maury Middle School’s FLL (First Lego League) received second place in the project division on December 1, 2018 at Hardin Valley High School. In order to do this, team members put aside their many differences to develop a holographic projector to be used primarily for astronauts during long-time confinement in space. They also spent many days after school programing a robot for the technical challenge of the competition. We are very proud of the teamwork and responsibility that the students portrayed both at practice and during competition. The leadership that this team has shown since it began by Jackson Moody last year will continue to be role model for future teams. Last year, the team placed third in programming, and we can only hope for the best this year and for years to come. The team will be recognized at the school board meeting on December 13, 2018 for their performance at the Marble City Competition in Knoxville. Congratulations to Maury Middle School’s FLL for their previous and hopefully future achievements in their creative and imaginative after-school club!
